Impression DP’s website design and development team have worked closely with Armed Forces Fitness over the last few months on a complete re-design for their website. It’s been 6 months since the new website was launched and we’re now ready to profile the project fully as the ROI for the client has been impressive.
Brief and their busines plan
Armed Forces Fitness business plan was to expand from it’s base in Harrogate, where a number of sucessful outdoor fitness sessions are run on the beautiful Stray, and they targeted Ilkley and Ripon as the next two destinations to open for business. AFF needed a new website to:
- Professional Image.
- Provide members with a source of information about the sessions, signing up, times, social events, gallery and latest news.
- Attract new members to the sessions through a well designed website
- Ensure the website ranked well in search engines for targeted search phrases such as “outdoor fitness harrogate” and “fitness classes harrogate” for example.
The owners of Armed Forces Fitness, surprisingly enough, are from a military background, and recognised that their creative flair was limited to say the least, and they gave us total control during the website design stage and refused to allow themselves to have an opinion! A very strange project to work on – but we didn’t complain!
Now the site has been running for 6 months we’re working on phase 2 of the project to streamline membership sign up. We’ll integrate a simple shopping cart and payment gateway into the site so new members to Armed Forces Fitness can sign up without any hassle of contacting the instructors. This is equally helpful to staff at AFF with less admin to deal with.
Since the website was launched, we’ve recieved plenty of enquiries off the back of the design of the website along with plenty of good feedback from members of AFF and the staff at AFF are certainly happy with the website design.

Now the new website has been live 6 months, the website has been designed and developed to a high standard and importantly the website optimisted properly for seach engines, the website traffic has rised by 340% for the targeted search phrases relating to the business. Now that is ROI!
