Leading Regional design firm relocates HQ to Leeds

DLA Design Group, a Yorkshire based company specialising in architectural, graphic, interior, landscape and urban design has secured premises in Leeds City Centre as their new headquarters.

DLA will be moving from their current premises at Wakefield 41 Business Park early next year having taken 10,000 sq. ft. of office space at 55 St Pauls Street, a prestigious address in Leeds’s traditional central business district.  Owned by the Freshwater Group, it is the first time the premises have been available to rent in more than 15 years.

DLA has taken a 10 year lease on the property and proposes a major refurbishment to ensure their new HQ reflects their design standards.  All of the 74 staff who are currently based in the Wakefield office will make the move to the new premises in the first half of 2013.

Bob Taylor of DLA Design Group commented “DLA have been established in Yorkshire for over 30 years.  The move to the Regional Capital will enable us to provide the best service to our existing client base, as well as providing an exciting opportunity for further business development.”

Richard Dunn, from Sanderson Weatherall acting for the landlord Freshwater Group commented; “55 St Pauls Street offers the rare opportunity for medium-sized occupiers to enjoy the prestige of a self-contained building in a prime location, and I am sure it will make an ideal headquarters for DLA once refurbished.”

DLA were advised by BNP Paribas Real Estate.
